When We Wander

Released 2021

With his seventh album "When We Wander," Jesse Terry has ridden out the pandemic like few artists can. The first album he wrote since becoming a parent, was recorded live with his band in Nashville, and the family theme courses through it like a river through a canyon. Produced by Neilson Hubbard (Mary Gauthier, Glen Phillips), and includes performances from Liz Longley.

“...easy to compare Terry’s heritage and storytelling to that of Jackson Browne, James Taylor or Bruce Springsteen… A symphonic delight for the heart and soul.” 9/10

Peace

Released 2020

The twenty song collection features Jesse's takes / arrangements on timeless Christmas songs such as "The First Noel," "O Holy Night" and "The Christmas Song" and more contemporary classics such as "River" and "Love is Christmas." Recorded in 2020 during lockdown, the album features Jesse on guitars, lead vocals and all harmony vocals. Eamon McLaughlin (Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell) makes beautiful contributions on violin, mandolin, viola and cello, along with Josh Kaler (Dar Williams, William Fitzsimmons) on pedal steel, dobro, electric guitar, lap steel and mellotron. Pedal steel legend Dan Dugmore (Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor) also lends his magic to the album.

"In my book, there have been two essential Christmas albums: 'Johnny Mathis Christmas Songs' and 'Nat King Cole Christmas.' I am thrilled to add a third to that list - 'Jesse Terry - A Christmas Collection'."
Larry Ahearn, SongGallery / Trespass Music

Kivalina

Released 2019

A collaboration with artist / producer Alex Wong, the songs are based on the story of the residents of Kivalina, AK who may become the first climate change refugees in North America. The acoustic-forward arrangements, built around two voices and two guitars, are uncluttered yet cinematic in sweep, sonic gems that conjure images of northern stars and unfamiliar city lights.

“Beautifully crafted songs from a master singer-songwriter. A joy to play on my radio show with great reaction from listeners. Jesse deserves to be up there with the likes of James Taylor & Jackson Browne”
- Paddy MacDee - BBC Radio Newcastle

Sunset Avenue Sessions

Released 2018

This album, produced by Grammy Award-winning producer/engineer Glenn Barratt, combines the award-winning talents of Jesse and his friends Michael Logen and Lizanne Knott, with each artist trading off vocal duties with an easy feeling of camaraderie throughout. Includes Jesse's cover of "Ring of Fire" and Tom Petty's "Learning to Fly," featuring all three artists.

"As a young artist, Terry would fit right in with the songwriters of the 1960s and ’70s.  Listening to his music, it’s easy to imagine hearing his songs on the radio in between cuts by Bob Dylan, James Taylor, Jackson Browne and Joni Mitchell."

Stargazer

Released 2017

"Stargazer" was forged in the crucible of Jesse's engagement with a chaotic, often confusing world. Drawing inspiration from a diverse pool of influences — from vintage Jeff Lynne-produced pop to the Roy Orbison of “In Dreams” to "The Man Who..."-era Travis — "Stargazer" is an album commensurate with its moment, imbued with an unconquerably sunny perspective for these dark and turbulent times.

"Stargazer" is a triumph from start to finish, and Jesse Terry can be rightfully proud of an album that should, if there is any justice, be sitting in any "Top 10 Album Of 2017" lists that you care to mention."

"Stay Here With Me is the kind of album that defines what the ablest singer/songwriter ought to aim for, that is, a set of songs tendered with heartfelt emotion and powered by earnest ambition. The melodies ring with instant accessibility and a clear connection, conveying a brilliance and clarity that most veteran artists still strive for… A wonderful album indeed."

Jesse’s second album moves with deep emotional waves and sparkling storytelling.  “Let The Blue Skies Go To Your Head” received a major TV placement on “Hart Of Dixie” and later won first prize in the esteemed International Songwriting Competition, judged by the likes of Jason Isbell, Bruce Hornsby and Tom Waits.

"...he's a force to be reckoned with. His well-crafted songs rank right there with Ryan Adams, Rhett Miller and other masters of alt-country."
- John Platt WFUV / New York City

"Empty Seat On A Plane is a charmer of an album and one well worth falling for."
- No Depression

JT The Runner Cover.jpg

The Runner

Released 2009

Jesse’s debut album, recorded and produced over the course of a year in Nashville, TN by Eric Masse (Miranda Lambert, Rayland Baxter), Ethan Mentzer (The Click Five, Greg Holden) and Adam Popick (Matt Nathanson, Madi Diaz). “The Runner” is a fresh americana/alt-country record with timeless songs and production that brings to mind iconic artists Jackson Browne, Ryan Adams and Tom Petty. Includes performances by legendary musician Dan Dugmore (James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt).

"Like forbears John Prine and Mark Germino and recent risers Mindy Smith and Jeremy Lister, Terry is a pop-folk troubadour whose style suits the coffeehouse rather than the Grand Ole Opry. A Berklee College of Music grad, he brings a sophisticated melodic touch to his tender musings about love and finding his place in the world."
